Excited to get PlayStation back on the floor at E3—after a brief restructure of the show—we finished design, early. The team was feeling great! Then, PlayStation got an unexpected call. Due to conference scheduling, those exhibiting in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center had two weeks for installation, while those in the West Hall were given just two days! Xbox was exhibiting in the South Hall, PlayStation in the West Hall. PlayStation was stunned—they had a 15,000 sq. ft. booth and almost no time to move in. So, we sidelined our initial design and completely reimagined a booth that was modular, ridiculously fast to set-up and could be outfitted in our shop before shipping out. Fueled by necessity, we were inspired by the flexibility of a shipping-container style solution, and from that, our Brand Blocks were born! We constructed eighteen 40’ x 8’ Brand Blocks that provided the ideal plug and play solution, allowing us to install an E3-worthy exhibit for our client in an impossibly tight timeframe.
