Pokémon caught ‘em all and became the very best when they launched their U.S. “Play Lab” tour at PAX West. Our comprehensive, dimensional design attracted Pokémon beginners and masters of the game alike, as the space included four different focal points of attraction, all integrated and streamlined together: tables for open matches, where Pokémon “professors” instructed students in the art of gameplay; a demo zone for spectators to view the games, captured through lipstick cameras and displayed on high-definition screens; a merchandise area with a custom-case vending machine; and a quick play area, for shorter and faster versions of the battles. The modular design of the booth allows aspects of it to be used for future events of various sizes, so the newcomers and card veterans that emerged from the space as fans for life can look forward to future play.
